"The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and

without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration

his/her life will be."

Horace Bushnell

Hello and welcome to Camps at Trusted Parents 2024 summer season! I hope this letter finds you and your family well and in the best of spirits.  As we kick off a new season, I would like to extend a warm “WELCOME” to all our new camp families and a great “WELCOME BACK” to each of our alumni families that will be joining us again this summer. It is your continuous support and trust in our camp program that has allowed us continuous success and sustainability, and for that I am very grateful.  Thank you for trusting us to provide your child(ren) with every fun thing summer camp has to offer. I know that by registering your child(ren) at one of our camps, you are handing over your whole world, and I for one do not take that lightly.

You see, there was a time not too long ago that I was once a parent looking for a safe and nurturing summer camp for my son, who happens to be diagnosed with autism. Unfortunately, like many of you, I was frustrated because I couldn’t find a place that I felt would give him the quality of care he needed and deserved. However, in spite of the all the frustration, I am grateful for the journey because it has led to me creating a camp designed just for him, and for  children like him. I understand firsthand how important it is for children with special abilities to be in an environment that feels safe and allows them to be their authentic selves without judgement. So, for the last 10 years, Camps at Trusted Parents, formally known as Camp Trusted Parents, has successfully been that place for families in Mecklenburg and surrounding counties, as well as counties in South Carolina.

As our camp population grows, the staff and I are excited to meet the interests and needs of all our campers by always providing a structured and routine schedule, while finding ways to improve programming along the way. Please be assured that we are committed to providing our Trusted Parents campers with a safe, happy, healthy, and fun-filled summer where growth and improvement of important skills is our goal.

Warmest Regards,
