Please read this page carefully before filling out financial aid application.
Camper(s) must be registered with the $80 registration fee and $50 weekly enrollment fee paid in full prior to submitting the financial assistance application. Please note, the registration fees will only be refunded to those applicants eligible for full scholarship from approved sponsors. Fees will not be refunded for those seeking financial assistance, no matter who the funding sponsors are.
After completing the online financial assistance application, the following documents must be submitted to us in order for your application to be processed. Delay in receiving the following documents will hamper the process of your application.
Completed Camp Registration Application (One per child)
$80 ($70 for sibling) registration fee and $50 weekly enrollment fee paid in full
Proof of Income (paystub, SSI award letter, DSS award letter, etc.)
Copy of your IRS Form 1040 or W2 for 2022
A letter from a community service provider(teacher, advocate, physician) or family member, expressing the reasons why financial assistance or scholarship funding is needed.

Deadline to receive application and supporting documents in our office is May 12, 2023. However, we strongly suggest you submit all paperwork as soon as possible. Application and supporting documents received after that date will not be processed and financial/scholarship assistance will not be granted.
Camps at Trusted Parents financial assistance and scholarship funding is limited, and eligibility is granted according to the NC Division of Social Services Food and Nutrition Eligibility Guidelines. Due to limited funding, we cannot award financial assistance or scholarships to everyone. If we are unable to award you assistance and you choose to withdraw your child from our program, due to your inability to pay, the registration fee will not be refunded, but you may apply the total amount paid towards one week of camp and pay the small remaining balance, if there is one. For those requesting FULL SCHOLARSHIP: The Financial Aid committee will review applications and a decision made concerning those who qualify for FULL SCHOLARSHIP, You will be notified as soon as a decision is made. Full scholarship campers will receive 4 weeks of paid camp. If a parent wants to enroll their child(ren) in additional weeks, then the full price of the weekly rate must be paid in full by Saturday June 3, 2023. The weekly enrollment fee will only be refunded for the four weeks covered by the scholarship, additional weeks will not be refunded. Please Note: Full scholarships are not awarded to Camp Explore (CE) campers, only financial assistance.
For those requesting FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The Financial Aid committee will review applications and the decision concerning who will be awarded funding will be completed by May 26, 2023. Financial Assistance can cover between 25-50% of the weekly cost of camp, for only 4 weeks of camp for Camp Trusted Parents (CTP), and only 2 weeks for CE. Additional weeks thereafter will be charged at regular camp rate. Recipients will be notified by email (or letter) of the amount awarded. Balances (if any) will be due by the required dates of June 3 for CTP, and June 23 for CE. If the total tuition exceeds more than $1000 (with administration approval), then only half of the tuition balance will be due by the required camp dates, and the remaining balance will be due two week later. If half the tuition cannot be made by required due dates, it could result in the camper being withdrawn from the unpaid weeks of the program.
