Camps at Trusted Parents owes a debt of gratitude to our volunteers and interns who have come forth to help us provide an exceptional level of assistance to our parents. We have seen clearly how much our volunteer's support is essential to sustaining our operational effectiveness of running our summer programs. We are grateful to all those who have offered their valuable time and energy to caring for our campers!

Who is eligible to apply as a volunteer for the 2024 Summer Camp Program?
Volunteer/Intern Eligibility Requirements:

Prior experience working with children with special healthcare needs (preferred but not required)

Must be at least 16 years of age

Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation to and from camp, including early departure from the session if necessary.

CPR and First Aid Certifications (preferred but not required)

Frequently Asked Questions:
How does the volunteer application process work for the 2024 Summer Camp Program?
All volunteers must submit an online application. We will conduct interviews, review references, and determine applicants’ eligibility. Applicants that are selected will be notified to complete Part 2 of the volunteer application process. This includes submitting required documents, a physical, immunization record, and current TB test, and successfully clearing a criminal background check and a "National Sex Offender Registry" check.
When will I know if I have a position in the 2024 Summer Camp Program?
We aim to notify everyone about the status of their volunteer application at the beginning of May.
Volunteer Mandatory Training Dates & Schedule
Staff Training: June 7 & 8, 2024
Parent Mandatory Orientation (Virtual): June 22, 2024
Camp Setup Day: Sunday, June 30 (optional for volunteers)
How long are the camp seasons?
Camp Trusted Parent runs for 6 weekly sessions Monday-Friday July 1 -August 9
Camp Explore runs 4 weekly sessions Monday - Friday, July 8 - August 2.
Camp in a Box runs 3 weekly sessions Monday- Not being offered at this time
